For someone expected final, for someone not, but in any case this is fully deserved final for both players. Federer was almost perfect in Dubai. After all, he knows very well how it feels to win trophy there. He was three times consecutive winner of this tournament from 2005-2007.

From my angle he has great chance to win back the title that was owned by Novak Djokovic in the last three years. There is no Novak in the finals. Better from Djokovic in SF was Andy Murray. Still, there is big impression in my head that Novak was far from his best during these couple days and that was the main reason for Murray's victory. I do not want to diminish his victory, but still the fact remains that British player was not as good as much Djokovic was bad.

So, facing Federer in the finals will be much more difficult task for Andy.

Murray is only one of few who has better head to head record with Roger Federer, Nadal is the second. As you can see above, Murray won 9 of 15 played with Federer. But it is clear that Federer was winning in more important meetings. There were 5 ATP finals and Federer won three of them including two Grand Slams finals.

IMO Federer should win again. Just to repeat, it was very good tennis from Murray so far, but there was many similar examples in the past. He was playing great and then in the last step, he would be defeated easily.

I believe everything will be on Federer today. If he repeats tennis from previous rounds as well from ATP in Rotterdam, then Roger takes the trophy. Murray can win only if he show something amazing which I doubt that he can or if Federer would play his worst match in 2012 so far which I doubt even less.
