Faroe Islands U21 vs N. Ireland U21 by Jamesington
Not since a home win against Russia in 2009 have the Faroe Islands recorded anything close to an impressive result (unless one includes a 3-1 win against fellow minnows Andorra) and I do not expect that run to change here against the Irish side.
Northern Ireland are fairly dominant when playing the lower ranked sides - shown by their pair of wins against San Marino, 3-0 and 4-0, recorded last year - their most recent competitive matches other than a loss to Germany which was only to be expected against one of the world's best U21 sides.
Here though, Northern Ireland, who finished a disappointing fourth in their 2011 Euro Qualifying Group have the opportunity to get off to a good start in their group against the smallest team they will face.
With a plethora of young talent from Premiership clubs available to them including Shane Ferguson, who has been playing regularly for Newcastle in recent months, the Irish side should be too strong for the Islanders.
I would back them -1 goal but the price available from PaddyPower and Coral of 1.91 (10/11) is simply stunning and I would get on it now before it is snapped up.
