Cardiff vs Reading by Jamesington

Disappointingly the last tie between these two sides finished 0-0 and turned out to be a cagey match between two teams more concerned with losing a goal than scoring one. This may have had something to do with Cardiff's loss of Craig Bellamy to injury but we should see a different type of match in the second leg whether or not the Welshman is fit.

With Shane Long, Noel Hunt and Ian Harte all finding the net at least ten times in the league this season then you really have to respect the firepower that Reading have at their disposal. Cardiff similarly have Craig Bellamy, Jay Bothroyd and Peter Whittingham in double figures so they have a fairly strong attacking line-up too. Throw in 9-goal Jimmy Kebe and Michael Chopra then both teams have extra ammunition to play with.

Play-off matches in the Championship are famous for exciting football, remember last year's final with Blackpool scoring for fun? It was simply an enjoyable football match to watch. Expect much the same tonight. Both sides are attack-minded and will be going out to win this game, particularly Reading who know that they need a goal to progress (without penalties).

The three matches these clubs have played so far this season have all ended in draws, 0-0, 1-1 and 2-2. I think we are most likely to see a repeat of the 2-2 so have a small wager on the OVER 3.5 GOALS market at great odds of 4.333.

Even if it's not 2-2, all it requires is one side to have a good day and find the net three times with their opponent getting a consolation. In Play-off football, anything is possible. Over 3.5 goals is a breeze.
