Reading vs Cardiff by Jamesington

It has been eight matches since Reading failed to score at home - that was against League Champions QPR - before that we must go back to the start of December, so it's safe to say the Royals are likely to find the net at some point in this match. They did manage to find the net 43 times in 23 regular season home matches.

With Shane Long, Noel Hunt and Ian Harte all finding the net at least ten times in the league this season then you really have to respect the firepower that Reading have at their disposal. Cardiff similarly have Craig Bellamy, Jay Bothroyd and Peter Whittingham in double figures so they have a fairly strong attacking line-up too. Throw in 9-goal Jimmy Kebe and Michael Chopra then both teams have extra ammunition to play with.

Cardiff are the third highest away goalscorers in the league, finding the net 35 times in their 23 away games. They have also conceded 29 goals, indicating that their away matches have on average more than two goals per game - at least one for each side, as we are hoping for here.

The Nottingham Forest-Swansea match had great potential for attacking football but the early red card Swansea received (in the second minute) really forced the hand of the away side and the match did not quite live up to its billing.

Look for both sides to find the net here, with fairly good odds on offer of 1.8 a medium-high stake of 7 will bring back a profit of 5.6. If you are feeling brave go higher but I reckon this is a fairly safe bet and am happy with the odds on offer.
