Salamanca vs Celta by Mrgol

Salamanca is in fight against relegation, with 41 points they have good possibility to gain safety with many teams involved in the same battle with few points more of them;

Celta Vigo has 61 points and is in race to mantain their playoffs position.

Seeing their respective positions in table that reflect their opposite trend of all the season, and also teh fact that Celta is teh best away team, seems tha a bet on away win could be better.

But we must see also other things.

After a run of six matches with only one point, Salamanca gained three consecutive wins, last two of them against seventh placed Elche and second placed Rayo.

In opposite, Celta comes from a run of only one win in last 12 rounds, and in last match was trashed 4-0 at home by Girona, a team that has almost nothing to play for.

As a consequence, specially of last humiliating defeat, the trainer decided -as punishment - for this match to leave out of the team some very important players as Trashorras (midf. 30+4 5goals), Jonathan Vila (midf. 32), Catalá (def. 36 2 goals) and David Rodríguez (striker 35+1 17goals topscorer).

To this we must add that Álex López (midf. 30+2 3goals) and regular keeper Falcón (33) are injuried.

so, in this important match the team is really delepted - in most part cause the trainer decisions, and is no more the same team that - after a season - arrive in playoff positions.

Maybe trainer thinks that fresh players could add motivations in the team, but this is a match in which also the opponent has strong motivations and his last eprfromances seems says that Salamanca want play at 110% to avoid relegation.

So, in this match i think that Salamanca is the real favourite, in spite of the opposite situation in table.

For Salamanca only bedia (midf. 9+6 1goal) is out suspended.
