Tottenham vs Blackpool by Jamesington

For the month of May I have taken a different approach, many of my tips will be longer term ones, perhaps published a few weeks in advance to take advantage of better odds.

Spurs v Blackpool... if there is any match this season in which one should expect goals... this is it.

Twice this season Spurs have scored three goals against Arsenal. Twice this season Spurs have scored three goals against Inter Milan. Who are they playing this in this match? Blackpool, a team who scored three goals against Spurs the last time they met.

I both hope and think that this match will be an epic. Rip-roaring, end-to-end, free-flowing football that (thanks to Mr. Heurelho Gomes) will likely result in both teams scoring a bundle of goals.

Tottenham have Jermaine Defoe just finding his feet after a barren year and Rafael Van Der Vaart in rampant form. Spurs also have nothing to lost now in terms of European competition so might as well play with all their attacking flair (Lennon, Bale, Modric, Pienaar etc).

Blackpool have not - despite what their football has arguably deserved - had a fairytale first season in the Premiership and currently find themselves struggling valiantly against relegation. They are another side who like to play creative and attacking football which enamours them to many fans of other sides and neutrals alike.

Between them DJ Campbell and Charlie Adam have 20 goals in the Premiership this season - it is Adam who takes penalties and the majority of set pieces for Ian Holloway's side. I think we still have a lot to see from Player of the Year Nominee Charlie Adam and fancy him to net in this match at tasty odds of 5/1.
