Barcelona vs Real Madrid by Jamesington

For the month of May I have taken a different approach, many of my tips will be longer term ones, perhaps published a few weeks in advance to take advantage of better odds.

The fourth in a series of four renditions of 'El Classico' could prove to be the most exciting. With the biggest prize at stake - a place in the Champions' League final - both teams will be desperate to put one over on their biggest rivals.

Barca already have the upper hand having one in the Bernabeu 2-0. Madrid will therefore have to play Barca at their own game - attacking, creative football. Assuming Barcelona do not have a major 'off day' then they will be better than Madrid at such tactics - they have the better chemistry within their team AND technically, the better players so we should expect Barca to come out on top.

##Extra update: it should also be noted that in nearly every 'Classico' over the last two seasons Real Madrid have ended up with at least one man sent off - so expect indiscipline from Mourinho's outift if things do not go their way##

At the Camp Nou Barcelona beat Real Madrid 5-0 the last time they played - we shouldn't expect a repeat of such a one-sided result, but I think the performance might be nearly as brutal. I am tempted to bet on Barca with a 1 goal handicap (odds of 2.8) but since I'm adopting a different tactic this month, more of investing than gambling (predominantly) I would advise a small stake of 4pts on the home side at quite fair odds of 1.75

See you at Wembley!
