Manchester C. vs Wigan by Jamesington

Manchester-C.
VS
Wigan
Not the most adventurous bet here but I guess, as long as it's a winner it's a good price!

A 10pt bet on the home team here would seem a fairly secure bet to me due to the excellent performances they have displayed in their last few matches. The game against Fulham was a close affair but against Aris Salonika, Aston Villa and Notts County (admittedly lower league opposition) City looked absolutely fantastic.

Carlos Tevez, when he is in the side, is the catalyst that makes everything seem to buzz and work correctly while around him the skills of David Silva, Yaya Toure and Mario Balotelli seem to be finally flourishing - Edin Dzeko has finally got a few goals as well. In recent weeks another player who has been very important for City has been Aleksandar Kolarov who is really beginning to look like a top notch signing. City's defence is good and Joe Hart (although prone to the odd blunder) has been in fairly good form.

Wigan, at times, are a good footballing side. They play some nice, eye-catching stuff with the likes of James McCarthy, Charles N'Zogbia and Hugo Rodallega sometimes looking top class talents. The problem with Wigan though is just how sporadically these performances come. They are a side who seem incapable of putting together any sort of run and, in my opinion, seem destined to be fighting relegation at the end of the season.

At home, in the league, Man City have a pretty good record and a solid goal difference. Wigan, away from home, cannot put up anything like similar statistics and this will be a miracle if the points go anywhere but on to the tally of the Eastlands club. Home win, banker.
