Celtic Glasgow vs Aberdeen FC by Jamesington

I backed Aberdeen to win in their last match and they duly obliged. I was very tempted to have a small wager on Aberdeen to win this game at 10/1 but when I saw these odds was staggered and could not ignore them.

Aberdeen have been a completely different side since new management team Craig Brown & Archie Knox have taken charge of the team. They have been scoring goals, keeping clean sheets and taking points in matches where previously they would have put in lame performances and simply not competed properly.

The real noticable difference in this side is that they now play with confidence and this has translated into 12 goals in the last 5 matches, they scored in every match. Chris Maguire and Scott Vernon have chipped in with the majority of these goals.

While all of this evidence points towards the Dons finding the net it is important to note that Celtic do not condede many. They have kept the highest number of clean sheets of all clubs in the SPL this season. The Parkhead club's solid defensive record is all that keeps me from placing more on Aberdeen.

For odds of 2.05 I reckon a medium-high stake bet will be well rewarded.

Aberdeen not only have their in form hitmen Vernon and Maguire but also Nick Blackman. Blackman, of course, was Motherwell's top scorer in the first half of the season. New signing Rob Milsom also looked dangerous in Aberdeen's last match and could pose a threat to the Celtic goal.
