Coventry vs Portsmouth by Mrgol

Odds on Coventry win remain substiantially stable, and this is a surprise for me.

Coventry is nothing of special, made seven new signing, Lee Carsley (midf. 7 atts. last year in Birmingham), Gary McSheffrey (midf. 10 atts. in Leeds), Lukas Jutkiewicz (striker, Motherwell, 16atts. 7goals), Richard Keogh (def. 41atts. 3goals Carlisle), Roy O'Donovan, Clive Platt (striker 46atts. and 7 goals ) and Stephen O'Halloran, trainer says that he needs at least of a couple of other players, but my bet is against Portsmouth.

After they relegation (part due to their weakness, part to financial reasons), they remain in control administartion, they had to sold or give on loan many important players as T. Ben Haim, D. James,N. Belhadj, Bouba Diop, A. Dindane and other.

Transfer in, for the same reason, consists in young players

Few days ago new manager of Portsmouth saidthat they this year will be able only to fight against the relegation:

"It's almost an impossible situation but I've got to make it work,"

"There are so many people relying on me.

"I have only seven players who are good enough for the Championship, eight if you include Ibrahima Sonko who I've just taken from Stoke.

"The goalkeeper is 18 but he's not strong enough for the first team. I need another three players for a proper team.

"The kids are not up to it yet. They will be going out on loan so I can replace them and bring the squad up to the 20 we have been allowed by the Football League under special dispensation."

In last days situation is a little improved, now they have 14 seniors players, but i think that they lack of match practice togheter, someone as Kevin Price Boateng and Utaka are in doubt, because could leave the club, and the only success that they obtained is that the club will survive, but transfer embargo remain

So, seems that Portsmouth is really delepted and the odds, in my opinion, are justified only by the fact that Portsmouth is relegated from Premier Leaguepin
