CSKA Moscow vs Volgograd by Lloyds
This match is a fixture in VTB United League, not Promo Cup.
CSKA will host Volgograd after getting their 3rd straight Euroleague victory against Cedevita in Zagreb. The hosts from Moscow are 3-1 in United League so far but with a win here they could catch up with Unics and Lok.Kuban, who are one game ahead of them. Volgograd are coming with hopes of surprising mighty CSKA which means they won't lack motivation. The visitors are not in good form, losing 4 out of their 6 last matches in all competitions. They are 1-3 in United League but that single win they had came on the road, against VEF Riga (76-75).
CSKA are likely to give their best players some rest because the game against Cedevita was not an easy one. The team trailed in the first half but later managed to regroup and grab a 76-72 victory. Milos Teodosic and Nando de Colo led the team with 14 points each. Teodosic played the majority of that game so it is possible that he won't feature long minutes against Volgograd who are rather easy opponent for CSKA.
These two teams met four times in less than a year. CSKA won 3 of those without a big margin except the last one which ended in a 17-point blowout. The rotation player will see most of the action for the home side while visitors will be seeking a way out of bad form which is why I expect they could put up a fight and lose by a decent margin.
