LA Lakers vs Houston Rockets by Marlo
Lakers will kick of their campaign with a home vs Houston Rockets.
Los Angeles Lakers are still far away from their peak and expectations for this season are relatively low given the current situation of their team.
Last season was the most worrying for any Lakers fan as they broke records of the wrong type. They recorded most losses in their history (55), missed out on playoffs for the firs time in nearly a decade and had a terrible winning percentage.
Jeremy Lin is now part of the Lakers since his move in the off season and he will be looking to provide momentum for a struggling Lakers unit.
Howard led Houston will be looking to follow up on a good season last time out where they were pipped by Portland in the playoffs.
Lakers lost Gasol for Chicago. Nash may be finally over after picking up another injury that forces him to miss this season. Nick Young and other upcoming players are out too as they continue to struggle with injuries.
Last season Houston won 3-1 and with quite healthy wins.
Spread set here is very reasonable all things considered and I will take a punt on Houston -6.
