Liverpool will be looking for a positive reaction in this match after a 0-0 draw against Hull. Liverpool have been a shadow of themselves this season, Strurridge has been missed, and the only new player is Adam Lallana who has shown some spark, but that has not helped Liverpool find the flow they are searching for in their play. Apart from their win against Spurs, one can question if Liverpool have deserved all their points this season, recently illustrated against QPR, where it took 2 own goals to help Liverpool to victory. They aren't as fierce at Anfield either, starting with great energy but no way close to causing Real Madrid any problems in their 0-3 Champions League loss. With 3 points from as many matches, and though away matches in Spain and Bulgaria, Liverpool are far from group advancement, the league looks extremely harsh aswell this season with 6 teams fighting for 4 spots, so i expect Liverpool to field a reserve team against Swansea. Lambert, Coutinho, Borini, Lazor doesn't sound like a bad line up, but all players have failed to impress this season and will have a though time opening Swansea, while Liverpools defence will have a just as hard time keeping Swansea away from chances.

Swansea have had an expected run in the campaign, winning 2 drawing 2 and losing 1 in their last 5 matches, they will invest more in this match, as they only possible route to Europe is via a good Cup run. Swansea will not fear Liverpool as they are well aware that they can get a result at Anfield, having done it before. Bony has found form after a slow start to the season, while Dyer will be fresh after been rested against Leicester, unfortunately Sigurdsson will have to miss this clash, while some other players are doubtful.

Liverpool are favourites to win this match but Swansea have a squad good enough to pull a surprise.
