Siniakova vs Mladenovic by Tennisguy

In this round of 16 match from the Moscow WTA tournament we have Katerina Siniakova from the Czech Republic playing against Kristina Mladenovic from France.

These player have never met in a h2h match so far.

I think Siniakova is playing very well lately and she definitely showed that in this tournament as well. She had to get past the qualif. stages where she defeated Rodionova, Gasparyan and Buyukakcay. In the first round she defeated one of the crowd favorites here Vesnina and did it very comfortably 6-2, 6-2. She moves very well on the court and covers a lot of space so making a point against her is very difficult.

Mladenovic managed to produce a surprise by defeating Karolina Pliskova who has managed some good results lately. That being said Pliskova was partly injured in the final she won last week in Linz so she probably was not forcing in this tournament. Mladenovic is a decent player but she does make a lot of easy unforced errors during a match and against Siniakova who returns almost every shot she will find it very frustrating.

I think Siniakova is the one to back here due to the great form she is
