Tennis WTA, Osaka (hard)

Putintseva is a player with a quite short height of 1m63, and like all the "small" players, she struggles against players who play with lift and then who force her to play far from her baseline or to shot balls over her shoulders.

It was the case couple of weeks ago in Guangzhou where she met one of those WTA players who control well lift, Alizé Cornet, and she was totally struggling and clueless against lifted shots of Cornet. She lost 6-1 6-1. I also remember in the past matchs against Dominguez-Lino where same thing happened during exchanges.

Tomorrow, she will play against Samantha Stosur who is surely the tenniswomen who has the best control of lift.

I often bet for her when she is playing a "small" player and she is often reliable for an easy win in 2 sets (recently against Lauren Davis -->

Her shape of the moment isn't amazing, but if she overuses lift like she usually does, I think that she will win most of exchanges and then win this match easily.

So I think that Stosur will win this match, and I think that she is able to win with this handicap of 5 games.

Nice, odds were great for -5,5, I hesitated to take it instead of this -5...
Too bad Lauren Davis lost in the other quarter-final, we could have played the same bet in semi-finals.
