Scotland vs Georgia by Jamesington

Both sides lost their first matches in qualifying by 2 goals to 1. The key differences were the quality of the opponent faced and the level of attacking promise from the two teams. Scotland played world champions Germany and were unlucky to lose after a battling second half performance which saw them have several raids on the German goal area. Georgia, however, lost to an Ireland side which hadn't won any of it's last 9 away matches.

The Hampden crowd are a massive asset to the Scotland side when they are playing well and since Gordon Strachan has taken charge of the team the play has massively improved and Scotland have begun to play some good football again.

Forwards Steven Fletcher and Steven Naismith are both regular starters for English Premier League clubs, with Naismith in particularly hot form, and this attacking strength should be able to find the net against a Georgia back four containing only one player from a 'major' European League (Kverkvelia of Rubin Kazan).

I chose the odds of 1.91 to score over 1.5 goals as these are markedly better than what is available now for Scotland to win the match. The bet can be placed at odds of 2.00 with Coral or Skybet but these are not available on Betshoot.

Good luck.
