Peer vs WTA by Tennisguy

This is a qualif. match from the Tianjin WTA tournament between Shahar Peer from Israel and Andreja Klepac from Slovenia.

These players have met once in a match that took place in 2008 which Peer won 6-3, 6-4.

I am taking Klepac to win here because I believe she is capable of a surprise. She played well in her previous 2 qualif. matches here winning against Chin-Wei Chan 6-4, 6-3 and Kai-Lin Zhang 6-3, 6-3. Her last win against Zhang was a really good one because her opponent was having some very good results in the past weeks.

I guess one of the reasons I think this could end up being a surprise result is because it is a qualifying match and Peer is usually unpredictable player who I've seen make some very horrible matches in the past years. Another reason could be that Peer is the nr.1 favorite from the qualif. players so if there will be any retirements she might just receive a LL(lucky looser) card and get to the main draw. I have seen this in the past in other tournament when decent players didn't play anything in their last qualif. matches and the next day they where on the main draw, so this could also be a case of that.

It will be hard but I think Klepac is going to manage the win today and she will get to the main draw.
