Przysiezny vs Istomin by Tennisguy

In this second round from the Tokyo (Japan Open) ATP tournament we have Michal Przysiezny from Poland playing against Denis Istomin from Uzbekistan.

They have never played each other, so this is their first encounter.

Przysiezny produced a huge upset in the first round by defeating Tsonga in 3 sets 4-6, 7-5, 7-6(9). Though the victory itself is impressed what really stood up for me was the way he played in the crucial moments, especially in the decisive tiebreak. He really looked composed and definitely looked like he had no fear of victory.

Istomin won in the first round against Taro Daniel 7-6(2), 6-7(5), 7-5. To say he had a hard match would be an understatement, but he did manage to get the win. I think he is going through a rough patch because in this hard court season he has a record of 2-9 so that's not very good for anybody. I was surprised how easily his serve got broken in parts of his first round match , because that's usually his main weapon so I don't see this a good sign.

Przysiezny managed to win against Tsonga who sure wasn't at his best but still it was a huge win, so I really don't see why he can't win against an out of form Istomin as well. This best has good value and I think the polish player will manage the win.
