Chargers vs Jaguars by Lloyds

Chargers
VS
Jaguars
San Diego are hosting Jacksonville Jaugars in what will appear to be a lopsided match. The Chargers are a heavy favorite to win this game while the visitors will try to surprise them. San Diego are a "dark horse" this season and they could go to the Superbowl if they maintain this form. Last week against Buffalo they played a perfect game, dominating the whole time and eventually winning 22-10. The Chargers also proved they can match the best teams in the league as they defeated the reigning Superbowl champions, Seattle Seahawks, at home two weeks ago (30-21). With Philip Rivers on the quarterback position the offense flows perfectly. Rivers passed for 6 touchdowns and 778 yards in the first 3 matches, having completed 68.4% of his passes. San Diego are averaging 333 yards per game, which is 67 yards more than what the Jaguars are averaging.

Jacksonville are a no-threat on the offensive end of the ball, especially when it comes to passing (201 yards per game). They are horrific at defense, allowing 466 total yards per game (306 of those are passes). They are unable to cope against both rushing and passing offense that elite teams like San Diego have. They got totally dismantled by Indianapolis Colts last week, 44-17. The game was already over 20 minutes of play when the Colts were leading 20-0. For the Jaguars that was the second straight time they gave up 40+ points to an opponent (allowed 41 points to Redskins).

The Chargers will be this year's surprise in the AFC and they could threat Denver and New England for the top 2 spots in the conference. The Jaguars are in the rebuilding phase and do not have any expectations from this season beside getting quality draft spots. They are the worst team in the league, by far, which shouldn't pose much of a threat to San Diego who will easily overrun them.
