Manchester C. vs Stoke City by iSpree
Second match was the highlight of the second round: Man City against Liverpool. City was way better than Liverpool and defeated them 3-1 and that was deserved. It could have been a clean sheet but Liverpool shot a goal due some lucky circumstances.
Injuries are Negredo and Dzeko (only doubtful due a leg injury).
I think they will play this formation again (4-4-1-1):
Hart - Zabaleta - Kompany - Demichelis - Clichy - Nasri - Toure - Fernando - Silva - Jovetic - Dzeko (I think he will play)
Furthermore Jovetic showed some absolue top class against Liverpool where he could score 2 goals against them.
Stoke's first 2 matches were really disappointing. First one against Aston Villa 1-0 and second one 1-1 against Hull. As we can see there were not many goals. Stoke has a good defense. But I don't think that Stoke is bad. They played some good football in this games. But their big disadvantage is that they are absolute ineffective in finishing their scoring chances.
Stoke injuries: Ireland, Bojan (doubtful)
Expected line-up (4-2-3-1):
Begovic - Bardsley-Shawcross-Wilson-Pieters - N'Zonzi-Whelan - Odemwingie-Ireland-Arnautovic - Diouf
The champions showed in their first 2 matches that they are counting to one of the biggest title candidates and if they want to be champions again the can't afford to lose points against teams like Stoke. Furthermore their defense is really strong with Demichelis and Kompany in the centre. Jovetic is in top form after his 2 goals against Liverpool and is expected to score again here. Moreover Aguero is always a candidate to score goals. I think Stoke will park the bus but they won't keep their goal clean from the champions who are playing at home. Also Stoke couldn't kept a clean sheet so far in this season and with their weakness of finishing their scoring chances I expect a "Win to Nil" from Manchester City.
