Boavista vs Benfica by Mudhara_9er

Boavista did well to gain promotion, and will be expecting to fight for survival. Unfortunately for the home side they are coming from a 0-3 loss in their first game against Braga. They lost Fabio Ervoes to a red card and he will not be able to play in their first home game this season. The hosts will now play a stronger opponent, Benfica, in a game they will hope to give their fans a respectful performance, not much is expected from them as Benfica are a too strong an opponent but Boavista will fight.

Boavista tested against Sporting Lisbon and lost 1-3 that was followed by the 0-3 loss to Braga, both teams a level slightly under Benfica, Boavista´s defence is okay but as he results show not good enough against the big teams. They have a team of youngsters that lack experience from the top flight. They haven't brought in any game changers but they team will be expected to fight for survival.

Benfica have just signed Julio Cesar, Lopez, Bebe, Samaris, to name a few, this adds to an already strong team that went all the way to the Euro League final.

At home against Pacos Benfica scored in both halves, they create many chances and try to get an early lead which they then tend to hold by being more controlling, the home side will want to show their fans that they deserve to be in the league and players will be expected to want to test themselves against a stronger opponent, so a 1-0 victory can be too risky for Benfica to settle for, i expect them to take an early goal and kill the game in the second half. Their firepower will be just to strong for the home side.
