Dike's early goal helped Nigeria alot at the semi-final winning North Korea 6-2. Asisat Oshoala led the cards with 4 goals, often time Nigeria punished their opponents with fast counter-attack which in the end paid off. The scoreline was somewhat exaggerated as North Korea threatened alot (possession was 65% vs. 35% at some points in the match) but you cannot rule out effectiveness from the coach Dadevo side. The side have scored under 1 minute in three of their matches in this competition. Nigeria have conceded at least a goal in all matches as well as scoring in all matches. The defence is weak but team often capitalize on outscoring their opponents with threats upfront. Alongside today's opponent, they are the only undefeated side of the tournament.

Germany's early threat paid off against France as they got the early goal. Thereafter, they began showing lapses having resorted largely to defence. Overall, France played better, had shots on goal/shots on target of 22/10 as against Germany's 5/4.
