Xelaju vs Comunicaciones by Sureseye

Xelaju Probable line-up:

Jose Mendoza, Fredy Santiago, Julian Rangel, Gary Taylor, Milton Leal, Walter Martínez, Julio Estacuy, Kristian Guzman, Peter Sam.

Communicacionnes probable line-up:

David Guerra, Carlos Castrillo, Joel Benítez, Wilson Lalín, Carlos Figueroa, Enrique Miranda, Jorge Aparicio, Kendel Herrarte, Paolo Suarez, Marvin Ceballos and Agustín Herrera.

Xelaju lost last time away to Marquense at the last minute from an own goal. It halted their 3-match unbeaten run but good news is that they are now back at home where they are usually strong (actually most Guatemalan teams are). Added to that, they recover some players from injury and suspension; Christian Flores returns from injury. Freddy Santiago returns to starting line up as well as defenders Gary Taylor and Milton Leal who will immediately take over from Johny Giron and Alexander Cifuentes.

Communicacionnes, Guatemalan champion were strong at home last two matches; they won Bayamon 5:0 in the CONCACAF cup and returned to thr league to beat Marquense with same scoreline. Main attacker Rolando Blackburn (29/12) who scored half of the goals (5) is just returning from injury. He will not be risked and will be preferred to take part at the next travel to Mexico in CONCACAF. Also out due to injury are main goalkeeper Juan Jose Paredes and star midfielder Jose Contreas (31/8). Squad is set to tinker a bit to accomodate these changes. Furthermore regulars like Jean Marquez (47/8), Carlos Gallardo (27/0), Arreola Silva (41/14) and Bryan Ordonez (40/8) will be rested for the travel to Mexico.

Last time Communicacionnes were in similar situation in the league (travel to Suchitepequez), they were beaten 1-0. It will be a stiffer test against better and in-form Xelaju.
