Sharapova has looked rusty in Montreal and in Cincinnati she lost a set against the likes of Muguruza Blanco and Keys, she has been defeated by Carla Suarez Navarro and overall she seemed to be struggling to play constantly. Halep on the other hand won easily against Flipkens and Safarova, I rate her as a better hardcourt player than Masha at the moment, she plays constanly good tennis, she doesn't give away too many free points, and overall she has a very complete game, one that can't be demolished so easily by Sharapova's bashing. I think the russian will up her game, he knows that between her and Simona can develop a long lasting rivalry, so the victory for either of them will give them a huge boost in regard to their next game. Halep's odd has been falling since going on the market aproximately ~0,20 points. Simona in her interviews has looked like she is very prepared for this game, she has a revenge to take on Maria and the general opinion, also mine, is that on hardcourt, also on current form, Halep should came on top.
