Trencin will face Hull City tonight in the first leg of the 3rd qualifying round of Europa League. On paper this is a mismatch, Hull City has spent only this summer in excess on 25 million euros on transfering Livermore, Snodgrass, Maguire, Robertson, an amount equivalent with Trencin budget for the next 8-10 season probably. But, fortunately, football is not reduced solely on money and transfermarkt market value and Hull has to take the field tonight against the slovakians. I've seen Trencin last year against Astra, they seemed a team that plays positive football, they are proactive with a young squad. They have been the most offensive team in Corgon Liga last season with a mean 3,3 goals scored in their matches, and I think today they will exhibit the same "nothing too lose" attitude, trying to score and impress against a team from the "real football". English teams rarely impress in Europa League, expecially the small ones (like Wigan, Birmingham, Stoke, Swansea, Blackburn and so on) especially away from home. The start of the EPL is still a half a month away, in many reasons this match is a nuisance for Hull's players having to cut short their summer vacation, Livermore&Co. undoubtely, against all their declarations, will disregard the poor slovakians that's way I think this first leg has all he ingredients to produce spectacular football, and not be a one sided affair with a walloping victory for the tigers.
