One of the most interesting encounters from this phase of Europa League will be the one between Petrolul Ploiesti and Viktoria Plzen. Both teams have been quite unlucky to get such a strong opponent in this round, but you have no control over the draw only on how you'll play with the adversary that has been pitted against you. Petrolul is a title contender in a weakened Liga 1, they look good, for Liga 1 rather low standards. Also, this team gathers most of its "sap" from the red hot atmosphere created by their fans and it's a very tough nut to crack on its home ground. Plzen has impressed in the last 2-3 seasons with its european performances, but this year this team seems to have regressed; they changed their coach, Vrba the czech coach of the year between 2010-2013 has left for the czech NT, Dusan Uhrin jr is their new coach; still their style of play hasn't changed that much, Plzen is a very offensive minded team with a weak defence and very potent upfront with Bakos, Tecl, Petrzela, Pilar, Kolar and grandpa Horvath. Petrolul relies heavily on the "homecourt" performances, eventhough Lucescu is a rather defensive minded coach he knows that his team has to push for a convincing win today since away they don't look that treathening. I expect Petrolul to win this game but I also think that Plzen will score, so over for me here.
