Tennis Challenger, Vancouver (hard)
Andrea Collarini is 219th on ATP, he is a player who spends most of his time on clay where he has decent results at Challenger and Future level, but outside clay, his results are very poor, indeed he had a bad assessment whatever surface, hard, grass, indoor, carpet etc.
This season, he participated to 3 tournaments which weren't on clay (2 Challengers on hard and qualifications of Wimbledon), besides it was his last three matchs, and he failed on the 1st round each time.
Here in Vancouver, he finally won one match for his first round, but he met a quite weak american player who is beyond 400th rank.
Farrukh Dustov is 144th on ATP, he struggles once again this season to make results on ATP, but on Challenger he is doing great things. Indeed he has very good results at this level, he just reached the final of Winnetka last month, and simply reached at least semi-finals on 5 of the last 7 Challenger's tournaments that he participated, knowing that the 2 tournaments where he didn't go far were on clay which isn't his favourite surface.
Here in Vancouver, it seems that he is still in good shape because he had a difficult first round where he met Rhyne Williams but he succeeded to pass it, even if he dropped one set.
So if he holds down his season's level, he should be able to go far once again in this Challenger and then pass comfortably this round against a player who isn't comfortable on hard.
So my bet is a win of Farrukh Dustov in 2 sets.
