CSMS Iasi vs Viitorul by Peter

It's a new season on Romania Liga I, last week both teams played in League Cup, a new competition.

CSMS Iasi has defeated CFR Cluj with 4-2 and Viitorul Constanta has defeated FC Botosani at penalty kicks after 2-2 in regular time and 1-1 in the extra time.

CSMS Iasi just promoted this year after their relegated in 2013, they've won the promotion play-off with 38 points (11 wins - 5 draws - 4 losses), they were in front of Rapid Bucharest who finished second with 35 points. They've transferred 7 new players and 10 players left the team, but the new comings are more valuable than the departures. They have a great coach, Marius Lacatus, who also coached Steaua Bucharest and FC Vaslui. Marius Lacatus performance at CSMS Iasi is a a very good one with a PPM of 2,21 in 28 matches (PPM = Points Per Match). Also all the CSMS Iasi players are fit to play.

Viitorul Constanta avoided relegation last season in the last match, they finished on 12th place with 40 points (10 wins - 10 draws - 14 losses), last relegated team, ACS Poli Timisoara finished on 16th place with 38 points. Since 1st July 2014 they have a new coach, Bogdan Stelea, which is pretty new in this position, he only coached Romania U21 (5 matches) and Astra Giurgiu (4 matches). They've lost a few good players like left-back Alin Tosca (29 appearances, 1 assist on Romania Liga I season 13/14), right wing Alexandru Baluta (24 appearances, 3 goals, 2 assists on Romania Liga I season 13/14), centre back Ionut Larie (27 appearances, 3 goals, 1 assist on Romania Liga I season 13/14) and centre forward Mircea Axente (27 appearances, 7 goals, 3 assists on Romania Liga I season 13/14). Also their centre forward Cristian Gavra (31 appearances, 2 goals, 3 assists on Romania Liga I season 13/14) is injured.

In my opinion CSMS Iasi will easy win this match with 2-0 or 3-0.pin

Good preview, i'll bet on the victory of CSMS Iasi aswell. They have to win this game as 6 from the 18 teams will relegate and both Viitorul and CSMS will be involved in the battle to avoid relegation.
Moreover, yesterday CSMS signed forward Wesley. Wesley played many years for FC Vaslui and lead the team to participations in Europa League, last year he played somewhere in Arabia, but now he returned to Romania to play for CSMS Iasi. He's not so old (33 years old) so for at least 1 more season I think he'll play very good and score a lot of goals.
