Netherlands vs Mexico by JerryDrake

Netherlands
VS
Mexico
The winner of this match will face Costa Rica or Greece in the QF. Holland eliminated Spain and Australia while they defeated Chile and reached the first place of Group B. Mexico qualified as second in the Group A. Mexico remained undefeated, won two and stopped even Brazil (0-0). It will be difficult for Mexico to repeat such a game where goalkeeper Ochoa was the heroe.

Mexico never reached the QF outside Mexico as they did it only in the World Cup editions in 1970 and 1986, both organized in Mexico. Holland reached and lost three finals overall in 1974, 1978 and in 2010. If Holland confirm their level of play shown in the group stage, then they can reach the semifinals and play with Argentina or maybe Belgium (or Switzerland or United States). As they defeated Spain and took their revenge on the 2010 final they could try the same with Argentina (1978 final) in the semifinal and with Germany in a final (revenge of 1974). It's just theoretical but possible.

Robben, Van Persie and Sneijdee all impressed in the first three games. Usually in a team at least one of the three main players fails to convince. This is not the case for Holland. As for yesterday with Colombia, I have no doubts again: Holland will win. We must bet on Holland to win in the regular time plus a little covering unit for the extra time. Odds 2.10 for 'this' Holland, it's Christmas time. Score prediction: 1-0.

Bets:

Holland to win (regular time), odds: 2.10 Bet365, stake: 9/10

Holland to win (extra time), odds: 11.00 Bet365, stake: 1/10

pitja lol. I dont think it will be one-sided match, not after what i saw in match brasil-mexico (mexico played better football). i think mexico will show today iron defence. I won't be surprised if we see penalties. Netherlands is a favorite here, but i have some strange feelings.

Thats what I thought at the beginning, penalties. But as Holland could suffer the hot weather they might decide to take risks: all now (90 minutes) or nothing.

This strange feelings are probally coming by the odds. That is exactly what do the Bookers want to reach with those slowly climbing odds. Every hour a bid higher.
Fortaleza ohhhh noo the big devil ohhh... did Germany had big difficulties of playing there? okay^^ this was their only match that they drawed, but they had no problems of being exhausted extremly fast or anything.
How did the Greeks survived this ? they won. If you are 2 weeks or even more in this country, this is not like the new aspect which change everything.

Is it really right that nearly every mexican player plays in mexic
