Federer vs Giraldo by Tennisguy

In this 3d round match from Wimbledon we have Roger Federer facing off against Santiago Giraldo.

They have only met one time in a match that took place in 2011 at the US Open, which Federer won in 3 sets.

I'm pretty sure that Federer will win this encounter but even so I believe that Giraldo is capable of taking a set. The odds are very good so I will take a chance here. Giraldo has proven this year that he has raised his tennis level a lot and has manages some very impressive wins against top players like Murray, Tsonga, Kohlschreiber, Fognini ,Robredo.

In his previous meetings here Giraldo defeated Gimeno-Traver 6-1, 7-5, 6-0 and Marcel Granollers-Pujol 4-6, 7-6(2), 1-6, 6-1, 7-5. Federer on the other hand defeated Lorenzi 6-1, 6-1, 6-3 and Muller 6-3, 7-5, 6-3. I think with a little bit of luck Giraldo can take a set and in my opinion it should be the first one because if Federer gets the early advantage it's going to be harder and harder for him. Giraldo is a decent server himself and if he plays aggressive tennis he is going to have his opportunities.

I think there is some value in this bet because he has a real chance of getting a set. Sure I don't see him getting more than that but I think it's a decent pick.pin
