Ungur vs Giannessi by Topspin77

Adrian Ungur is playing in the second round in Padova Challenger and he will meet Alessandro Giannessi.

Ungur was playing last year in Wimbledon while in 2012 was winning a set against Roger Federer in Paris in the second round after he eliminated David Nalbandian. That was probably his best season of his carrier being ranked on 79 ATP - his best.

Now sits on 160 ATP and he is in a poor form overall.

But I see him trying and having a better mood here. He has won with Diez easily and offered just one chance of break. He looks set to have a go in this tournament.

Giannessi is on 313 ATP spot, a very poor one. His best was 232 in 2011. He is 24 years of age and is clearly not having the experience and the quality of the Romanian.

Despite that he has won twice with Ungur, last time 2-1 in 2013.

But he has a poor year and no good result with a well known player, won just with players that are attending mostly on ITF: Moritz Baumann, Daniel Knoflicek, Daniele Giorgini. He got here only cause Sorensen retired.

I see Ungur getting finally another win with 2-0, first time when he will win 2 times 2-0 in a row since Panama City, March 2014.pin
