Netherlands vs Chile by Goleador

World Cup 2014, Brazil

Netherlands - Chile

What can we expect from this match of the two leading teams, who want to avoid to play against Brazil in the round of 16? My answer on this question is many goals!

I guess not many would have expected, that Spain and Australia are out in this group after two games, but however Netherland showed, against many experts opinion, that they can win this group with the maximum of points. Although the defense are all young and international unexperienced players the team has found a way to handle this problem: play offensive. With players like Van Persie (he will not play vs Chile, as he is supended), Robben, Snejder, Hunterlaar or Lens (one of them is likely to replace RvP). Winning the game vs Spain 5-1 and 3-2 vs Australia with a great performance makes the fans even believe in winning the World Cup, but this match vs Chile can decide a lot. It decides who will be the opponent of Brazil, and who will play against Mexico or Croatia.

As many other I expected Chile advance from this group, but with the Netherlands and not showing such great games. Their style reminds me a bit on Red Bull Salzburg, with aggressive offensive pressing and finding a fast way to the opponents goal. But what comes with this way of playing is a high need of energy and so Chile scored more goals in first half in both games they played. Second half wasn´t often spectecular by them and the team seemed weaker, but that is just easy to explain with high temperatures and high humidity in Brazil.

For me it is an open game here, but as we saw both teams until know I think many goals will be scored in this game. Also the way how Chile plays makes two smaller bets a must-try for this clash.
