France vs Honduras by Kamlesh

France
VS
Honduras
France have been impressive in their friendlies drawing against Paraguay (1-1) and defeating Netherlands (2-0), Norway (4-0) and Jamaica (8-0). The team looks very solid defensively as well as offensively. They will miss forward Frank Ribery due to an injury and Samir Nasri due to a dispute but they still have much quality in the squad with the attacking trio Benzema, Giroud and Valbuena.

Probable Line-Up:

France: Lloris (GK); Debuchy, Evra, Sakho, Varane, Matuidi, Valbuena, Cabaye, Sissoko, Benzema, Giroud

Honduras had decent friendlies with a win against Venezuela (2-1), defeat against Turkey (0-2), defeat against Israel (2-4) and draw against England (0-0). Honduras are a very physical and aggressive team. However, the team lacks quality and they tend to concede goals easily. In their last friendly, they managed to keep the score 0-0 against England but since it was not a competitive match, the players were less motivated to surge forward and give their all.

Honduras: Valladares (GK); Figueroa, Izaguirre, Bernardez, Beckeles, Palaciois, Espinoza, Garrido, Chavez, Costly, Bengtson

There is huge quality gap between France and Honduras. France are much better than Honduras in all positions with world class players from reputed teams like Real Madrid and PSG. France are big favourites to win this game and it will be a big surprise if they fail to deliver today. Honduras have never won a World Cup game and they have never produced anything in the group stage.

France will look to score quickly and once, they score a goal, the game will open up a bit more with more goalscoring chances. As such, it's very likely they will win both the first half and the second half.
