Brazil vs Croatia by Tullamore

Brazil
VS
Croatia
The World Cup is taking place at Brazil and Sao Paulo is waiting for the opening game, where the hosts are taking Croatia, which has come to claim a spot to the next round. This is the toughest game for both teams, since they are the best teams of Group A and the result will give to one of them an early boost plus extra confidence.

Brazil had a successful preparation period and so did Croatia, but i cannot say i was impressed by any of these teams. I was actually disappointed watching Brazil against Serbia. That was the last friendly game for the Brazilian side and i was shocked of the lack of creativity of the team. I mean, that noone seemed capable to play box-to-box or even cut the Serbian defending line, using his skills.

Serbia has not the best defense in the world and i guess that Croatia is somewhere close to their neighbors' status, regarding their style and their approach to the game.

In my eyes, i feel like Brazil will have problems at the opening game. There were no many times, watching one-two or more than 2 players co-operating during the game.

I guess that Brazil will have to raise its chemistry game by game at this tournament, if it wants to meet the expectations.

I think that the refs are going to favourite the hosts in general. Of course i have no indication, it is just my thought. So, following this scenario, i think that Brazil might need a "push" tomorrow. Maybe a penalty, maybe a red card.

Plus the fact that FIFA's urges the refs not to hesitate at all and show cards, in order to control the game.

These are the questions you need to answer yourself first.

How many red cards have you seen in FIFA World Cup opening game before?

What player would want to be sent off in the first game of the world cup?

What referee would want to send off a player during the first game of the world cup when million of people around the world are watching? To do that the referee would have to be 100% sure.

Good luck

You still need to back up a bet with 60% statistics and 40% gut feeling...I don0t think this makes sense since there are praticaly no red cards on the opening matches of previous WC...
