Stabaek vs Stromsgodset by 20legend

Newcomers Stabaek made the biggest impact on the last round of Tippeligaen on May 16t as they beat Rosenborg (1-3) away from home. They have a young squad and it was a miracle that they did not concede any more goals, as Rosenborg created a lot of big opportunities. However, the frame was the same as in their 2nd match this season when they beat another big club, Brann (1-2). The unfrighten mentality of the players leads exactly to these ups and downs. Sometimes they get the three points and don’t concede so much, while in other games they may concede two or three. Coach Bob Bradley has really set his mark on this team now, and he has turned Stabaek into a tricky opponent for the bigger teams in Tippeligaen. They beat Sarpsborg 08 (3-2) in their last match at home before taking Rosenborg down (1-3) as mentioned. There are no worries when it comes to injuries for the home side.

Stromsgodset is challenging for the title also this season as they are in 2nd place at the moment. They were a bit lucky two weeks ago against Molde (2-2) as they got a point that they did not really deserve that much, but they were untouchable in their last game at home against Sarpsborg 08 (4-1) which clearly showed their class. Their form away from home however has been rather poor so far with only 1-2-1 and 5:6 on goal difference. Their home statistics is 5-0-0 and 14:4 on goal difference which certainly puts some perspective on this team. Defenders Jorgen Horn (injured) and Marius Hoibraaten (suspended) are missing for the away side.

These are two teams that both have had quite a lot of margins on their side this season, and I definitely think that this match will much more open than the odds are telling. Stromsgodset is the favorites, but they have not impressed enough to deserve it that much. I will pick over 2.5 goals to be scored
