Juventus vs Atalanta by JerryDrake

Scudetto Party

Juventus won the 30th Scudetto without playing as the title came through the goals scored by Izco, Barrientos and Bergessio in the match between Catania and Roma. With this defeat Roma can not reach Juventus anymore. After the elimination in Europa League Juventus can finally taste their 3rd title in a row (last time happened in 1931-1935 when Juventus won 5 consecutive titles) and try to reach the record of points. Inter made 97 some years ago, Juventus have now 93 and could reach 102.

Many changes

The main actors of this season will sit on the bench as coach Antonio Conte decided to give playing minutes to many reserves. Goalkeeper Storari will take the place of Gianluigi Buffon, Ogbonna/Chiellini, Isla/Lichtsteiner, Padoin/Pogba, Peluso/Asamoah and Giovinco/Llorente. Tevez will play as he keeps having chances for the title as top scorer. The other regulars who will keep their place are Andrea Pirlo, Claudio Marchisio and Leonardo Bonucci.

Party guests

Safe from relegation since many weeks, the Nerazzurri from Bergamo will be the guests for the Scudetto Party. They will try to avoid their 12th defeat in the last 13 Serie A meetings with Juventus. Coach Colantuono stated that “a draw would be a great result” and he will have all of his players available except suspended midfield player Cigarini who will be substituted by the young good player Baselli. Denis and Moralez will be the strikers, Giacomo “Jack” Bonaventura (possible future player of Juventus) will also be in the starting eleven.

My bet

Juventus should win this one (odds: 1.20) but I prefer to bet on “Over 3.0 goals” as Tevez is trying to become the Top Scorer in Serie A while Atalanta will try to be an active participant of the party. Odds for Atalanta (21.00) and the draw (8.20) are very tempting, so I suggest you to bet one little unit on Atalanta or the draw or Atalanta AH and to cover it live because it is possible that Atalanta will take the lead. For my Betshoot preview I select only the over bet. Correct score: 3-1 Tevez (2), Giovinco, Bonaventura

Juventus: Storari, Caceres, Bonucci, Ogbonna, Isla, Padoin, Pirlo, Marchisio, Peluso, Tevez, Giovinco. Trainer: Conte

Atalanta: Consigli, Benalouane, Lucchini, Yepes, Brivio, Raimondi, Baselli, Carmona, Bonaventura, Moralez, Denis. Trainer: Colantuono

Not available: Vidal (Juventus), Cigarini (Atalanta)

Turnover: Buffon, Chiellini, Lichtsteiner, Barzagli, Pogba, Asamoah, Llorente (Juventus)

Bet: Over 3.0 goals, odds: 2.09 Pinnacle Sports, stake: 8/10

TY Zhuang! Good strategy because decisions must always be personal decisions. I do the same when I read tips or previews.

Welcome Tkp, Juve to win have very low odds. If you find good odds bet on Tevez to score, is much better (and almost sure because if the Top Scorer title).

Auguri per lo Scudetto, Jerry.
As usual, we've played an awful game in Catania. Maybe next year...
I'm really not sure what to expect from Juve today and Atalanta is a very decent team (I also have Consigli on my fantacalcio team), but it's never easy for any team to play Juve at home...
Buona fortuna with your play.

TY Angelo, Consigli is a good goalkeeper, he often makes difficult saves. Roma made a great season and next year you'll play the Champions League. I never saw two teams from Center-South Italy in the Champions League in the same season. Usually Juve, Milan, Inter.

Good point Jerry - and it makes me very happy as a campobassano!
I'm glad Inter will not be in the Champions League next year. It will take at least a year or two for Thohir to rebuild this team.
