Newcastle vs Cardiff by Kamlesh

Newcastle have suffered 6 defeats in a row in the Premier League. However, their position is secure in the league but they cannot aspire to qualify for European competition. In those 6 defeats, they conceded 17 goals and scored only 1 goal. The statistics are terrible and most fans are angry, urging the owner to sack the manager. Newcastle started the season strongly but injuries to some key players and the sale of playmaker Cabaye weakened the team which explains the recent poor results. Forwards Cisse (24/2), Ameobi (9/0), defender Santon (27/0) are injured while midfielder Ben Arfa (27/3) is doubtful until match kick off.

Cardiff are still in the relegation and they are lying at the bottom of the league. They suffered a heavy 4-0 defeat in their last match against Sunderland and realistically, it seems that they will get relegated. They one of the worst defence and attack in the league. They have conceded at least 2 goals in 9 of their last 11 away matches in the league and they failed to win 14 of their last 15 away matches in the league. The players seem to lack motivation and quality. Defender Cala (7/2) and midfielder Noone (17/1) are injured.

This is a must-win match for Newcastle as well because in case of a negative result, Alan Pardew will surely get sacked now. In fact, the fans are planning to organise a protest against the manager but Alan Pardew has vowed to make Newcastle return to winning ways and gain the confidence of the fans again. The manager is going to fight for his job and I think Newcastle will finally win today against one of the worst team in the
