Both teams in some kind of crisis at the time, but Mannheim way better in the table and playing not bad in after winter, with a 6-2-2 record (in league) since January. Koblenz 12th (of 18) just with 3-2-5 out of the last 10 games, but relegation is only theoretically possible, as they are 12 points ahead 15th placed team Ulm.
TuS Koblenz with big problems at the time. Only won win out of the last three games in league, two consecutive losses against teams that are in relegationzone: 1-3 home loss against Hoffenheim II (13th) and 1-0 away loss vs 17th Baunatal. In both games the team showed an inferior performance, which the coach was critizising hard. The coach sees one part of the fault at the players, who are not giving 100% in the last games. Another part is the problem of many injuries in the last week, an the problem isn´t getting better soon: Marx (DEF/124/2), who was playing the last games, although having knee problems is now out, as well as Sözen (ST/9/2) and captain Gentner (MID/25/0). Hadzic (MID/28/1), who was playing with stomach problems the last game is questionable. Also questionable is Dzaka (MID/20/5), but he could play for a half game. The atmosphere in the team after these losses is bad at the time, but also the fans aren´t believing in their team anymore after this games. Now also the Ultra-fan section from Koblenz called "inferno Koblenz" was banned for this home game after problems with pyrotechnic and destroying the image of the club.
Waldhof Mannheim is playing a good spring season, although they had to take three losses (one of them in regional cup) in the last five games. The last game was won again vs last team Pfullendorf with 5-1. I think after such a high win the team has self confidence and this is always good after losses to come back, even if it´s against the last in the table. In spring Mannheim lost only one time against a team, which is lower in the table. Mannheim has only one missing player is Christpoh Becker (DEF/8/1). Another change will be made for this game, as second keeper Broll (GK/1/0) should get his chance to proof his quality. Maybe also because the coach has to plan for the next season and only three players have a contract at the time. For the next season the budget will only be the half of this season so I think the players will fight for a contract for the next season.
For me Waldhof Mannheim has more qualitiy in their team and TuS never can play with the same XI as they always have injuries in the last weeks.
