Sandnes Ulf vs Brann by 20legend

Sandnes-Ulf
VS
Brann
Sandnes Ulf has not impressed by results in the start of this season as they have only one point after the meeting against Odd (1-1) and the loss against Lillestrom (4-1). However, they have played on a decent level, and also have some bad luck with wrong referee decitions. Their captain Aksel Berge Skjølsvik was shown off with a direct red card against Lillestrom, but he is still going to play tonight after the card got erased by the disciplinary comity of the Norwegian Football Association.

Midfielder Henrik Furebotn (1/0) and defender Emil Johansen (0/0) are out with injuries, and it looks like defender Vegard Aanestad (0/0) will have to miss the game as well. In addition defender Kenneth Sola (2/0) is doubtful.

Brann is the only team with zero points after the first two games of the season. They have delivered the most terrible performances so far, while it was a better performance in the loss against Stabaek (1-2). They produced a lot of goal chances and it was a bit unbelievable that they did not score more than one goal. The atmosphere in the city of Bergen is not very good and the players and coaches in Brann must certainly deliver sooner than later.

Midfielder Kristoffer Barmen (2/0), 2nd keeper Oystein Overtveit (0/0) and the defenders Andreas Vindheim (0/0) and Daniel Mosjov (1/0) are let out of the squad tonight. Defender Hassan El Fakiri (0/0), 3rd keeper Adne Nissestad (0/0) and defender Jonas Gronner (0/0) are back after being let out of the last squad.

It is no surprise that Sandnes Ulf is in the bottom also this season. They will fight for avoiding relegation, while Brann has built up a huge pressure to deliver very soon. It is a very open match, but I expect at least three goals tonight as well. Sandnes Ulf likes to counter-attack and have the possibility to score here. They almost beat Odd (1-1) before conceding in the 85th minute, and they had the chance to take a point against Lillestrom, as they were the best team when the score was 2-1, but they were helpless after the wrong red card decision. Brann has a better team on paper and needs to win after two humiliating losses. Both teams met in a club friendly on March 8th which today’s hosts won 3-4. Sandnes Ulf did also win here last season (3-1), while Brann crushed them in Bergen last season (6-1). Over 2,5 goals will be my pick.
