ATALANTA - SASSUOLO

6 wins in a row

In the last 6 Serie A games Atalanta have defeated won 3 at home (Chievo, Sampdoria and Livorno) and won 3 on the road (Lazio, Inter, Bologna). In these games there have been 3 „overs“ and 3 „unders“. Sassuolo have lost 4 of their last 6 with only 2 „overs“ and 4 „unders“.

Enthusiasm in Bergamo

In an unexpected but deserved way Atalanta have reached 46 points, only 3 behind Inter and 2 behind Parma. They can still qualify for the Europa League. And as Inter have only got one point in their match with Bologna minutes ago (2-2), Atalanta are only 4 points behind instead of the expected 6. Tomorrow they will look for their 11th home win, no doubts about it. In Bologna De Luca played very well and he will be again in the starting line-up as Moralez is still injured. In my opinion De Luca should always play.

Sassuolo almost in Serie B

At the moment Sassuolo do not look like having chances to avoid relegation. They are 19th in the table with only 21 points and if they lose tomorrow (and Catania defeat Torino) they will reach the bottom place of the „classifica“. After the substitution of coach Di Francesco with Malesani, the team had lost the structure of play that gave them the promotion to Serie A. Malesani tried to give solidity to the defense and the club signed many (too many) new players. It didnt work. Di Francesco was invited again to save his old team but the results have not come yet.

Berardi-Zaza-Sansone all at once

One of the those players signed by Sassuolo deserves to play in a top team, I am talking about the Italian-born-in-Germany player Sansone (6/1 with Sassuolo, 17/2 with Parma). He has not scored many goals yet, he did score 6 last season but when you see him playing you can see that he has a lot of talent. The same as Zaza and Berardi. They all played together some minutes with Roma and Napoli (if I am not wrong), but now it's different as they will start from the first minute and not when the team is one or two goals behind.

Open game

Atalanta to win could be a good option if Sassuolo were not so unpredictable: you never know when the three young crazy strikers will start scoring and when they do, they score many at a time. Moreover, Sassuolo are playing their last cards to avoid relegation and Di Francesco will want them to take risks. Both teams are motivated, both have good strikers while Sassuolo are weak in the defense. I select the bet „over 2.5 goals“. My correct score: 3-1
