Norwich vs West Brom by 20legend
If you look at the table, Norwich looks to be quite safe in 15th place, when you think about avoiding relegation this season. With only six rounds left of Premier League it is also six points down to Cardiff who has the upper relegation spot. However, if you look closely on the situation that Norwich will meet in their remaining games, it could rather be a different story in the end with an extreme ending for them. In the last four rounds they shall go up against Liverpool (home), Manchester United (away), Chelsea (away) and Arsenal (home). It is therefore extremely important for them to take so many points as possible from the next two games; both against today’s opponent West Bromwich and against Fulham next weekend.
Norwich is not in a sparkling form at the moment with 2-1-3 on their last six fixtures, but a win against West Bromwich should be a possible task for them. They take most of their points at home on Carrow Road, and they have got a capability of winning their home games against teams from the lower half of the table. Norwich has also a very good grip on West Bromwich during the last seasons, as they have won two straight games against them with a total 6:0 on goal difference.
It looks good when it comes to injuries. Joseph Yobo (7/0) is doubtful, while Elliot Bennet (1/0) and Leroy Fer (26/3) are still missing out. The good news is that defender Michael Turner (17/1) is fully fit again.
West Bromwich only got a 3-3 draw at home against Cardiff in their last match, and they were beaten 0-2 by Hull in the round before. They have only collected six points over the last seven games, and they are lying on a risky 17th place, just three points ahead of Cardiff.
Chris Brunt (22/2) and Goran Popov (2/0) are missing with injuries, while Billy Jones (19/0) and Claudio Jacob (24/1) are expected to be ready. Gareth McAuley (28/2) and Victor Anichebe (19/3) are both doubtful.
I think that Norwich must and will grab this chance with both hands in order to get themselves the biggest possible gap before the horrifying end of the season starts. They have a big advantage of playing at home, and West Bromwich has only produced 1-0-4 in their last five games away from home. I therefore pick Norwich to win.
