Newcastle vs Man. United by 20legend
Newcastle are really struggling these days as the have just produced 2-0-3 from the last five games, including a loss against Fulham (1-0) and two big losses in their two recent games against Everton (0-3) and Southampton (4-0). Things are not looking any better for the future as Newcastle have a lot of injuries on important players. Tim Krul (31/0), Moussa Sissoko (32/3), Loic Remy (23/13) and Mathieu Debuchy (25/1) are all ruled out. In addition Gabriel Obertan (3/0), Ryan Taylor (0/0), and Shola Ameobi (20/0) are out with their long-term injuries.
Manchester United has had a terrible season so far, but their recent performances both in the Premier League and the Champions League should be a huge boost for them today. There are also several injuries and worries among the defenders. Jonny Evans (16/0), Rafael (19/0), Chris Smalling (21/1) and Alexander Büttner (5/1) are struggling with some sourness after getting rough treatment recently. However, Robin van Persie (18/11) and Ryan Giggs (11/0) are out definitely, but Patrice Evra (29/1) and Juan Mata (10/1) will surely look to make a difference as they can return back in the lineup after suspensions in midweek.
The Red Devils smashed Aston Villa last weekend (4-1) which gave the biggest win since David Moyes took charge of the club. A certain vibe got into Manchester United players and they certainly showed it against Bayern Munich (1-1) on Wednesday. They were able to recognize in parts of the 90 minutes as they took the lead 1-0, and could actually have scored another one, even if they did not see much of the ball. However, finishing 1-1 against the currently best club in the world these days will give the players a bigger believe and hunger for this game as well.
Even if Manchester United still needs to improve a lot, I think the timing is perfect for them to face Newcastle at this moment. While Manchester United got a little bit of a boost from their recent results, Newcastle has the opposite feeling in addition to many injuries on key-players as Remy, Krul and Sissoko. Wayne Rooney is carrying the offensive approaches for his team these days, and Newcastle is one of his favorite opponents when it comes to scoring goals. Manchester United is also the best away-team in the Premier League this season with a 9-3-4 record and 30:19 on goal difference. Given both teams uncertainties about form and injured players, I still think that Manchester United can continue the positive results away from home. With a good odds as well I see a good value here.
