Stade Francais vs Harlequins by Serialtips
Rugby, Europe, Amlin Cup
Staff of Stade Français just names its team for this quarter-final against the Harlequins, and the staff chose to rest most of its key players. There was an interrogation about the motivation of the french team for this match because Stade Français is fighting for play-off's spots in top 14, and now by this choice to rest many key players, we easily understand that the staff is mainly focused on this fight on top 14.
So, many important players won't play this match such as Pascal Papé and some of them with few competition this season such as Lydon, Daguin, or Zhvania will start.
To my mind, it clearly decreases the level and competitiveness of the team.
On the opposite side, the Harlequins's staff did the contrary, indeed the staff puts the best team possible, the Harlequins clearly want to win this competition which gives a spot for H-Cup next year. On the english Premiership, the Harlequins have an uncomfortable 6th position which doesn't directly qualify for the H-Cup, so this Amlin Cup could be a better opportunity to take this precious spot for the major european cup.
With the resting of many key players of Stade Français, I think that the Harlequins are able to win in Paris, so my bet is their win or draw.
