Nadal vs Djokovic by Tennisguy

This is the final of the Miami ATP tournament between Rafael Nadal from Spain and Novak Djokovic from Serbia.

These two players have met 39 times with the score being in Nadal'sfavor at 22-17. Djokovic however won the last two meeting that took place in Beijing and in Masters Cup ATP in London.

This will be a very nice match between two players that are playing their best tennis. Djokovic just won last week in Indian Wells against Roger Federer and now is trying to win again here in Miami. Usually when the serbian goes on a winning streak it's very hard to stop him. Sure I guess some would say ho better than Nadal to do that, but I really doubt that that is going to happen.

Nadal showed some very good form here in Miami, winning against Hewitt, Istomin, Fognini, and Raonic and didn't have to face Berdych in the semis beacuse he retired. He did have some problems against Raonic especially in the first set but after that the canadian didn't really stand a chance.

Djokovic on the other hand in my opinion has played better here in Miami than he did in Indian Wells. He defeated Chardy, Robredo and Murray. He was the beneficiary of two retirements, one in the 3d round when Mayer retired and one in the semis against Nishikori.

These two players have faced each other in Miami two times in the past. Djokovic has won both those meetings, one in 2007 that he won 6-3, 6-4 and one in 2011 that ended 4-6, 6-3, 7-6(4).

Both players are probably very well rested after they both didn't have to play in the semis and I think this is going to be a very good match with a lot of great shots. That being said I favor Djokovic in this one because he seems to play a little better than Nadal at this point, and that little thing usually makes the difference between so very close in value players.
