Sevilla vs Real Madrid by Kamlesh

Sevilla have got 3 consecutive victories in all competitions and they will be in a good mood ahead of this game. They possess a good attack but their defence is not reliable as they usually concede goals easily. They usually play well at home but surprisingly the weaker teams have been able to get points from them easily like Celta Vigo, Racing Santander (Copa Del Rey) and recently bottom team Real Betis (Europa League). Nevertheless, they managed to make a comeback against Betis away from home and they even qualified to the next round by extending the game till penalty shootouts. Defender Carrico (18/2), midfielder Cristoforo (12/0) and forward Cheryshev (4/0) are injured.

Real Madrid suffered defeat at home against Barcelona and the title race remains wide open. They actually gave a good performance in the match but they were unlucky with refereeing decisions. Nevertheless, they still have a one point lead over Barcelona and they are on equal points with Atletico Madrid. Before that defeat, they were on a 32-game undefeated run. They have scored at least 2 goals in 6 of their last 7 matches in the league and they are also undefeated in their last 18 away matches in all competitions. They boast one of the best attack in Spain and scoring goals is not a problem for them. Defender Arbeloa (16/0), midfielder Khedira (11/1) and forward Jese (18/5) are injured while defender Ramos (25/1) and midfielder Di Maria (27/3) are suspended.

Real Madrid are in a must win situation and they have to bounce back from that defeat against Barcelona. They will be fully motivated to get the 3 points here and they have more than enough quality in their squad to defeat Sevilla. A draw will be considered as 2 points lost and only a win will be acceptable for them. Expect them to dominate the match from start till the end to get that so-much needed victory. Based on form, motivation and quality, an away win looks very likely.

Sevilla's form is the best in Spain so this doesn't look like a very good bet. Madrid also missing some important key players.

Real Madrid can easily replace Ramos and Di Maria with other players like Varane and Isco who can step up for this game. These are all high quality and world class players and I have watched them play several times.

Probable Line-up:

Lopez ; Carvajal, Pepe, Varane, Marcelo ; Modric, Alonso ; Cristiano Ronaldo, Isco , Gareth Bale ; Benzema

I can only see a Real Madrid win here because from my point of view, Real Madrid are on another level when compared to Sevilla. Besides, Real Madrid are in better form than Sevilla.

But I can be wrong in my prediction because anything can hap

In my opinion Di María has been one of the most important players for Real Madrid this season and that was underlined in the Clásico where he was easily the best player for the home team. Isco is not at the same level as Di María.

But to be honest, Ramos can also be a risk and Varane can replace him well. We'll see, probably going to skip this one and just cheer for Sevilla because I don't really like RM. :)

Good luck anyways.

Good day, Kamlesh,

Full stake on your prediction. I think Real woul be angry after this disasterious match with Barca, also having in mind many "thrashing " results between these two teams, which all were in favour of Madrid, i dont have any doubt of outcome of this match.

You are supporting Sevilla on the basis that you don't like Real Madrid. I am backing Real Madrid on the basis of past encounters, form, players and motivation.

I have no special preference for Real Madrid but it's just that on current form, I cannot see Sevilla getting anything in this game but I can be wrong too because football is played on the pitch and anything can happen.

Isco may not be on the same level than Di Maria but he is definitely better than the Sevilla players in my opinion. Ok let's see what happens :)

Real Madrid are playing badly.. They are losing 2-1 (75mins). They don't deserve to win the league. Sorry to all those who followed.
