Tottenham
VS
Southampton
Tottenham will be hosting Southampton with a poor morale in the team. After a good start with the team, their new manager seems to be struggling having lost 5 of their last 8 matches and 3 of their last 4. On thursday, they were knocked out of the Uefa cup in Portugal. They could still be physically and mentally tired from that match as they tried to make a comeback but Benfica were a bit too good.

Spurs are currently 6th in the league. They play better away from home than on home ground, having earned 29 points away from home and only 24 on home ground.

Southampton are playing well this season, and even in the matches that they lost, they created a lot of chances and played good. They seem to play just as well away from home as they do on their home ground having earned 23 points on home ground and 22 on home ground.

Spurs will be missing Michael Dawson, Vlad Chiriches, Kyle Walker, Erik Lamela, Etienne Capoue, Paulinho and Hugo Lloris, while Verthongen, Dembele, Kaboul and Adebayor could return.

The bet I will go for is Southampton +0.25 on the AH. I was expecting a bit better odds for this but I think the current odds are still worth taking. Southampton will have more energy, have less injured players and have a better morale in general. They played consistent good football for the majority of the season and have a few players who will want to impress in order to be chosen for the world cup team.

Southampton are playing nicely this season and they’ve won their last two matches. They have good players Jay Rodriguez, Adam Lallana and Rickie Lambert and I think they will grab three points today!

Not to mention Hugo Lloris is starting GK even though you say he is out. However Spurs are in bad form and they don't score much. Under looks to be the pick here.

You say tottenham are in a bad run of form however, they conceded a quick goal from arsenal but then they dominated for 80+ mins but couldn't score, then they go to benfica, a team that have only conceded 1 goal in many games at home and they score 2 in quick play, I think this game is Tottenhams for the taking, 2-0 to spurs is my prediction
