NY Knicks vs Indiana Pacers by QuidProQuo

Easily the biggest game on board tonight and the game of the month for the Knicks. I have so much to say about my views on this game but I'll try to keep it as short as possible and try to explain why few lines in this match-up creates value...

First off all, line opened at Knicks +4 at most sportbooks (even +4.5 at some) and after that we have line movement to +1.5 essentially making it a Moneyline. I agree that has some to do with recent winning streak from the Knicks and the Pacers struggling late, but the real mover of this line has been the mainstream media press of the Phil Jackson hiring.

Phil is not on the court and nothing has changed with regard to the roster, that is correct. But with all the talk of Phil Jackson coming to town and changing the culture of this team and this organization, you bet you will see 110% effort from the Knicks in this game. The Knicks definitely need 110% effort and they definitely need to play 48 minutes if they want to win tonight.

On the other hand, the Pacers are struggling lately but I expect them to show up for a prime time game against what could be a first round playoff match-up. I think their big problem lies with Hibbert and his play. It's been fairly bad of late.

With all these points we should see a close, defensive game throughout. Only thing that concerns me a bit is i don't actually like rest the Knicks got. They were on quite a roll for 10 days winning 6 in those 10 and now they come off a 4 game layoff. You have to think there was a positive mindset but perhaps they were a bit too happy proving very little winning 6 in by far the easiest stretch in their schedule.

The Knicks making play-offs is very important and so is the Pacers getting #1 seed so if there's a game where you need stellar defensive effort it's tonight! Also I think Knicks can pull a upset tonight.
