Round 15

Newport is a good surprise of the season. This team was usually the worst welsh team of the league last couple of seasons, but this season, they are unexpectedly pretty good.

At home, they have a good assessment with 4 wins for 2 losses, knowing that those 2 losses were against the two best teams of the Pro 12, Leinster and Munster, and they lost by only 4 points on both matchs.

Today, this match is very important, indeed if they win, they will have 5 points more than Cardiff, the last welsh team of the league with one more match to play. This is very important because the last welsh team isn't qualified for the H-Cup next year, and this is the goal of Newport this season.

On the opposite side, Glasgow also needs a win to keep its 4th place.

The team is missing some scottish international players since beginning of 6 Nations but they are doing a good job so far with 2 wins against Connacht and Cardiff.

Even so, those 2 wins were very difficult, indeed they won by only 2 points at home against weak team of Connacht and they won thanks to a try in the last minute in Cardiff during a match where they were dominated most of the time.

Now, they are facing up a better team, knowing that this team lost only twice at home and by 4 points, and it was against Leinster and Munster who are a level higher than Glasgow to my mind.

Moreover, Newport won in Glasgow early this season.

So, I think that Newport will not lose by more than 4 points.pin
