Bournemouth
VS
Burnley
Bournemouth currently occupy the 15th position on the Championship table. They are having an average season and their performances have not been so good. In their last 7 league matches, they have won only once, drawn 4 games and twice. Besides, they concede goals in almost every match and they have the second worst defence in the league. Their last match ended in a 2-2 draw against Bolton. Important defender Eliott Ward (21/0) and left back Charlie Daniels (21/0) are out through injuries.

On the other side, Burnley sit in second position of the Championship league table. They stand a good chance to secure direct promotion to Premier League. However, they should make sure that they don't drop points, otherwise the teams below them will easily surpass them. They are undefeated in their last 8 league matches. They have the second best defence in the league as they don't concede goals easily. Also, they have made a record of 12 league clean sheets this season (with 16 games still to play). This pretty much highlights how solid their defence is. Midfielder Brian Stock (8/0) is missing through injury, otherwise they have all their best players available.

Based on form, this should be a Burnley win. They have lost only 3 away games this season in the league, drawn 5 and won 7 of them. However, they played in midweek (defeating Bolton) and there should be some tired legs in the squad. Nevertheless, they will fight to maintain their promotion challenge. The Burnley coach stated in his last press conference : "The one thing I can guarantee with my team is sweat on the shirt and the minimum expectation is maximum effort."
