Round 13

This match is one of numerous derby in London. Usually those derbies are very tight, whatever the form of both teams.

Now this derby between Harlequins and Wasps is maybe the one which is the most tight of all londonian derbies, indeed 8 of the last 10 meetings in Premership between both teams finished with a margin less than 8 points despite the fact that the Harlequins are one level higher than the Wasps the last couple of years.

I think that this one will be tight too, so I am going to play the handicap of the outsider.

There are couple of other things which consolidate me in that choice.

The first thing is the numerous absences on Harlequins's side, indeed many key players are with England national team or simply injured, this is the case of Brown, Marler, captain Robshaw, Walker, Care or Buchanan. The team seems less stronger without those players.

On the opposite side, there are also missing players, Launchbury is with England too, while the two bestscorer Varndell and Wade are injured, those absences are important too, but the team still looks good too my mind, even if I would prefer to see those players on the field.

The second thing is that the Wasps had take at least one point on all their trips so far, that is to say that they never lost by more than 7 points this season. This is a huge performance knowing the difficulties to play at away in rugby.

So, I think that the Wasps won't lose by more than 8 points during the derby.
